Enquiring risks of shopware downgrade

Hi Guys,
I believe this question may asked already. But I couldn’t find a satisfying answer. So I am asking it again.

The situation is as follows.
We have updated a shopware shop to sw v5.7.18. Only after updating the live version, we realized that the updated version of their payment plugin only work upto shopware v5.7.16 (The brave plugin developer install plugin to live only). So now shop owner want the shop to downgrade to sw version 5.7.16.

So my doubt is that, is downgrading the shopware gonna break something?
Probably the 3rd party plugins may have a lot to break. How about shopware?

Hi,

You can only downgrade by restoring a backup.

We have done our update from sw v5.7.5 → v5.7.18
And also which was 2 months ago. So I think a downgrade is not possible at this point.

hey @Binu

what is the problem with the payment plugin? Is there something not working anymore, or is it just not marked as compatible?
