I would like to start using shopware for administration of my Amazon seller account. (Import SKU’s, orders, and creating invoices, just to start)
Would somebody please give me some pointers, as to how would i go about connecting Amazon with shopware, and proceed with the things i would like to do, named above.

You need a Connector or a middleware which is between Shopware and Amazon.
You may contact our sales department, there is a beta program for a connector to amazon. I’m not sure if this fits your requirements but just chat with the colleagues.
Developing an own solution is also possible because of the API first structure.
