How to add a new filter?

Hi.
I want to add a new filter in storefront just like the manufacturer, color, length etc. How do I do that?

You have to create a property in the backend, associate it with a product and shopware will do the rest.

I have already done that but it didnt show up in storefront. The name is Category

Did you assign this filter to any product? Only filters that are in use are displayed in the storefront.

Open a product, go to section properties (I guess it is called so) and select a property

I went to the section properties and the property I created is not there as well.

Ok found it. I just had to search in the values for it.
