START AND LOCATION Immediately in Berlin, Germany ABOUT US Coffee Circle is all about outstanding coffees, traded in the most meaningful way. We carry “circle” in our name as we manage and improve all stages of the coffee trade. Fairness, transparency and partnership are cornerstones of our daily business. We personally select our coffees in Ethiopia, its birthplace. We roast our coffees to tasty perfection and sell it to private and corporate customers through our online platform. We also invite our customers to select the development project they want to support in the coffee farmers’ cooperatives. We implement these projects ourselves with maximum transparency and impact. Our coffee has been inspiring people since 2010. In doing so, Coffee Circle improved the living conditions of more than 15,000 people. YOUR PROFILE • 3+ years experience as a developer (our backend is currently mostly PHP); a technical degree is a plus • Work with relational databases like MySQL or PostgreSQL • Strong believe in deploying and maintaining the systems you build (DevOps!) • Basic knowledge of systems administration (Linux, Apache, or nginx) • Ideally: experiences with eCommerce systems in general; Shopware/Magento is a big plus • Interest in scaling high performance websites, database optimization, web services (REST, SOAP), SOA and in the application of software design patterns • You speak fluent English; German is a plus RESPONSIBILITIES • Planning, implementation and maintenance of demanding PHP-based projects, such as our agile-developed, high-traffic Magento/Shopware webshop • Responsibility for your software’s quality – in particular for the automation of unit and system tests as well as continuous integration and deployment • Optimization and standardization of the system architecture and development process OUR OFFER • You work on challenging and responsible tasks and get the chance to develop and implement own projects • You work independently in a team with flat hierarchies and short decision-making processes • You significantly contribute to shaping our platform and can thus contribute to the strategic growth of Coffee Circle • You work in a well-equipped office in the European start-up capital Berlin • You have the choice of operating system (Linux, MacOS) and IDE as well as state-of-the-art hardware (SSD, 16GB RAM, 24“ monitors) • Skill-dependent, negotiable salary Interested?
