Update from 5.0.3 to 5.3

Hey guys,

I’ve read a couple of articles about the upgrades for SW5, unfourtunatly the current http://community.shopware.com/Shopware-aktualisieren-updaten_detail_1878.html broke my SW5.0.3 as i’ve uploaded and overwrote the files and the CLI update keeps telling me that there is no update available. Now I’m curious how to upgrade to the newest version by the CLI? For some reason I couldnt finde anything from Shopware it self.

Any suggestions? Or is it only possible via web backend?

The system itself matches the requironments for the SW5.3:

• no incompatible Plugins installed (as there are very few anyway)
• the apache webserver runs on PHP 5.6.4 with IonCube loader 6.0.6 (required 5)

I’ve used the install*.zip, but you should uses the update*.zip. With the correct update it works…

What a pitty that the update guide didnt told me about that.

It’s telling you that you should use the update package and that you should do a backup before.
