# Welche Mysql-Version für Shopware 5.6/5.7?

Hallo zusammen,

bin gerade etwas verwirrt, da sich die Shopware-Angaben zu Systemvoraussetzungen nach meiner Meinung widersprechen.

Hier die offizielle [Update-Anleitung 5.6](https://docs.shopware.com/de/shopware-5-de/update-guides/update-guide-shopware-56). Darin sehe ich:

### Abkündigungen

Die folgenden Technologien können ab Shopware 5.6 in der genannten Version nicht mehr genutzt werden:

- PHP 5.6, 7.0, 7.1
- MySQL 5.7

In der [Info zu 5.7](https://docs.shopware.com/de/shopware-5-de/tutorials-und-faq/systemanforderungen-hosting) steht:

### Minimale Systemanforderungen (ab Shopware 5.7 Release Candidate)

- PHP 7.3.x / 7.4.x / 8.0 (7.2.x, 7.3.7, 7.4.14 und 8.0.1 sind nicht kompatibel)
- MySQL \>= 5.7 (außer 8.0.20 und 8.0.21)

🤔 Ja was denn nun? Ab Shopware 5.7 ist die „alte Mysql-Version“ wieder nutzbar?

Ist es korrekt, dass Shopware für die Versionen 5.x keine Empfehlung für mariaDB gibt? Erst ab Shopware 6?

Hallo,

Shopware 5.6 / Shopware 5.7 läuft einwandfrei mit MariaDB (auch mit 10.5).

Danke für die Info. Mir geht es darum was Shopware dazu sagt.

Ich dachte mir, dass das auch andere interessiert. Daher habe ich die Frage hier gepostet und nicht als Ticket an den Shopware-Support. 😉
