# Truncate komplett deaktivieren für Listing, ob 1-col oder 100-col! aber wie?

Hallo

Ich verzweifele langsam

habe schon fast alles ausprbiert.

wie deaktivere ich die Truncate Funktion in Shopware (SW 5.1.5)

Ich habe den originalen Code von Shopware:

```
{* Description *}
		{block name='frontend_listing_box_article_description'}
			{if $sTemplate eq 'listing-1col'}
				{assign var=size value=290}
			{else}
				{assign var=size value=600}
			{/if}
			
				{if $sTemplate}
					{$sArticle.description_long|strip_tags|truncate:$size}
				{/if}
			
		{/block}

```

mit dem hier modifiziert:

                {if $sTemplate eq 'listing-2col'}
                         {assign var=size value=270}
                {elseif $sTemplate eq 'listing-3col'}
                         {assign var=size value=5000}

                         {assign var=size value=5000}
                {else}
                         {assign var=size value=500}
                {/if}
                
                        {if $sTemplate}
                                {$sArticle.description_long|strip_tags}

Allerdings bringt auch diese Änderung keine Resulatet!

Ich habe sogar truncate:$size komplett entfernt. Dennoch sind die Produktbezeichungen abgehackt!

danke für jeden Tipp!

und vieleicht sollte Shopware diese Funktion auf wunsch deaktiveren lassen vom user!? Nicht jeder möchte sowas abgehacktes haben!!!

den Code den du oben eingefügt hast ist aber vom alten Emotions-Template das weist du schon, weil du hier bei Shopware 5 gepostest hast.

Oder nutzt du bei Shopware 5 das alte Template?

Der originale Code vom Shopware Responsive Theme sieht aber so aus: [https://github.com/shopware/shopware/blob/v5.1.5/themes/Frontend/Bare/frontend/listing/product-box/box-basic.tpl#L43-L48](https://github.com/shopware/shopware/blob/v5.1.5/themes/Frontend/Bare/frontend/listing/product-box/box-basic.tpl#L43-L48)

Sicher das du im richtigen Template arbeitest? Grundsätzlich ist das Vorgehen korrekt. Einfach das Truncate entfernen.

Das muss man auch nicht konfigurierbar machen. Geht im Template ganz einfach.&nbsp;

Cache geleert und Theme neu kompiliert?
