# Template desgin does not change

I have edited the index.tpl from the folder /vijayshop/templates/\_default/frontend/index.tpl but i cant see the changes in the page.

You should never change anything in the \_default template. Choose one of the templates(pink,black,…) make a copy of it, rename it and make there the changes you like. And you have to choose this template in the backend to see it in the frontend. Have you found the german tutorials? Translate them with google translator.
