# Shopwares neue Release Policy -\> ab Anfang 2025 keine Sicherheitsupdates für Shopware 6.5.7 und älter

Ich frage nur um Missverständnisse auszuräumen:

Ab Anfang 2025 wird es keine Sicherheitsupdates mehr für Shopware \<6.5.8 geben?

Ist sportlich aber für uns in Ordnung. Wir sind bald auf 6.5.8.

Besser würde ich es gestaffelt finden:  
6.3. : 31.12.24  
6.4. : 30.06.25  
6.5. : 31.12.25  
6.6. : 30.06.26

Jeder Softwareanbieter, den ich bisher kenne, staffelt es versionsgenau. Z.B. PHP: [PHP: Supported Versions](https://www.php.net/supported-versions.php)

Ich finde eher das Supportende von Shopware 5 suboptimal, da ja noch einige Funktionen im Vergleich zu Shopware 5.7 fehlen und auch teilweise (jedenfalls gefühlt) Shopware 6 noch nicht so rund und schnell läuft wie Shopware 5.7. Vorallem das backend ist deutlich schneller in Shopware 5.7.
