Vermute er meint WebP/SVG. Gibt eine Reihe von Plugins auch in Kombination mit lazy loading. Da wir (noch) keines davon einsetzen da andere Baustellen, kann ich keinen Tipp abgeben. Werden dann aber wohl keine CDN basierte Version einsetzen.

Gif! Nein, sowas wie WebP oder Jfif etc.

WebP kann Shopware nativ einblenden. Mit dem Plugin von Froh lassen sich auch die Bilder optimieren/konvertieren. Was an Jfif modern sein soll, weiß ich nicht. Vielleicht ist mir da aber auch einfach nur eine Entwicklung entgangen.

Mit Jfif hast du natürlich recht, mein Fehler. Was spricht deiner Meinung nach gegen einen CDN Dienst?

In der EU… tendenziell die DSGVO. Ansonsten musst du halt schauen, dann das CDN-Plugin und das Theme miteinander kompatibel ist.

Was Max\_Shop sagt und ein zusätzlicher Dienst der Kosten und eine gewisse Abhängigkeit / Ausfallpotential/ Fehlerquelle schafft.
