# Promotion discount on total amount

When creating a promotion, at the discount tab I can select either cart or shipping costs. I want to set an absolute amount for the total order amount. We would like give away or sell vouchers of a certain amount like € 15,- that must be subtracted from the total order amount.
E.g.
Products: 12,50
Shipping: 5,00
Total: 17,50
Discount: 15,00
Total to be paid: 2,50
Is this possible?

To my knowledge it is not possible, without a plugin.

I am afraid so too. Unfortunately I couldn’t find a plugin to do this either, so probably we need to have it custom made.
