Ich versuche es nochmal: Es gibt jetzt ein kostenloses Plugin, wo man easy seine Plugins via GitHub updaten kann. Ohne Store und Account.

Vielleicht ist das ja für einige eine Alternative.

Hallo,

über [GitHub - nuonic-digital/plugin-installer: Shopware 6 plugin installer based on composer + metadata from GitHub](https://github.com/nuonic-digital/plugin-installer) gibt es das eigentlich schon sehr lange bzw. die Möglichkeit, auch GitHub-Plugins komfortabel über das Backend zu installieren.

@sschreier jein. es ist nicht das gleiche. Bei dem neuen Plugin ist man nicht auf Drittanbieter angewiesen und kann jede URL direkt eintragen.

Hallo,

naja ich sehe da jetzt nicht wirklich einen großen Unterschied, da die Quelle immer noch Drittanbieter (Github- oder Packagist-Projekte) sind und man diese über beide Plugins installieren kann. Und beide Plugins stammen von Drittanbietern. Und wo anders als bei Github oder Packagist werden (öffentlich verfügbare) Plugins wahrscheinlich nicht liegen.

Deine Argumentation kann ich also nur bedingt nachvollziehen.

Ich muss zugeben, dass ich den Mehrwert auch nicht wirklich verstehe. Ich würde mal behaupten, dass die aller meisten kostenfreien Plugins ohnehin auf github verfügbar und entsprechend in der composer.json gekennzeichnet sind. Auf [yaet.com](http://yaet.com) steht zwar „Ask your plugin developer kindly to publish on GitHub!“ aber das ist entweder bereits passiert - oder es handelt sich um kostenpflichtige Plugins und hier ist es eher unwahrscheinlich.

@brettvormkopp funktioniert das auch mit private repos wenn man die url mit einem entsprechenden token aufruft?

So in der Art meine ich:

`https://<github-username>:<github-token>@github.com/<your-repository>.git`
