# Plugin second database

Hey all

I am new to shopware.

I am trying to make a plugin that needs to connect to both shopwares default database, but also another existing database to get some extra info.

How can I make a second database connection and also keep the main database connection? If anybody could link me to some documentation, or a guide, I would really appreciate it 🙂
