# Notification/message is running forever

Hi,

We are working on shopware 6 (v6.4.18.1) , and in the backend always there is an API call for „notification/message?limit=5“ is running forever. Sometimes it will take long time to load and it’s affecting our performance in backend , and backend seems pretty slow.  
Is there anyway to improve the performance or restrict the API call for being called without any action on the screen?

This is an known issue, there is an ticked open for it.
