# Migrating from Shopware 4 to Shopware 6

Hello all,

At the moment we have a shopware 4 shop which has about 700 products. We want to upgrade/migrate the shop from Shopware 4 to the latest stable shopware version 6.1. My questions is that how can I make this upgrade or migration?

There is a migration assistant I see but does it support version 4?&nbsp;

Is it going to be one step process or would I upgrade it 4 to 5 and then 5 to 6?

You have to upgrade to Shopware 5 (at least 5.4) for using the migration to 6.
