# Indexing keeps stuck

Hi,

My 6.4 install keeps indexing products and categories.  
This is allready running for a week, without any progress

If i check the logs i see the following error  
**Reached max depth, aborting** from Treeupdater.php

Any idea where this goes wrong? And ideas how to debug this?

Hey @JustinB,

using the queue when generating/refreshing the index could help you. The following command should do the trick.  
`php bin/console dal:refresh:index --use-queue`

Hi,  
I had the same Problem.  
In 6.4 was an error with custom fields and the index generation.

With the update to 6.4.4.0 this problem was solved.
