# Erstellung 'Master' Artikel

Hallo

Wenn ich einen Masterartikel und dieverse Varianten erstellen will über die API, muss ich da den -M Artikel auch erstellen oder macht das SW6 automatisch für mich?

Guten Morgen,

nein, der Masterartikel wird nicht automatisch erstellt, in der Migration machen wir das zum Beispiel so, dass wir den Masterartikel (Container) erstellen und per children-Eigenschaft darunter die dazugehörigen Varianten anlegen, dann werden alle Produkte mit einem Call angelegt:

   "id":"uuid-container",
   .....
    "children":[  
      {  
         "id":"uuid-variant-1",
         ......
      },
      {  
         "id":"uuid-variant-2",
         ......
      }]
}

```
