# Creation new Template

Hi. I want to create a new template. Can I duplicate “\_emotion” folder and rename it to my own folder “myStore”? Will it be affected on future updates of Shopware? I mean that my new template will be independent from the “\_emotion” template and new functionality will not be working in my template? Right?
