# APCu in PHP7

Hallo,

mir wurde gesagt, dass es für PHP7 kein APCu gäbe. Nun fand ich online Anleitungen, um APCu unter PHP7 zu installieren.  
Meinte mein Anbieter vielleicht damit, dass es APCu in Zusammenhang mit PHP7 sowie Shopware nicht gäbe bzw. nicht möglich sei?

Gute Frage: das interessiert mich auch. Oder ist PHP7 schon so schnell, dass APCu nicht mehr gebraucht wird oder von PHP nicht mehr unterstützt wird?

Hallo Zusammen,

die APCu Extension existiert auch für PHP 7 und ist für den produktionsbetrieb&nbsp;von Shopware umbedingt empfohlen.

Für Ubuntu und&nbsp;ist zu beachten, dass in Shopware 5.1 neben **php-apcu,** auch das Paket **php-apcu-bc** installiert werden muss.  
Beide Pakete gibt es für verschiedene Ubuntu versionen in folgedem PPA: &nbsp;[https://launchpad.net/~ondrej/+archive/ubuntu/php](https://launchpad.net/~ondrej/+archive/ubuntu/php)
