# Add new domain to shop

Hi all,

I want to add new second domain the the current SW6 set-up. I’ve already made a new sales-channel with the new domain.

What is the best practice to setup the DNS? And are there some other thing to consider?

PS; I’m using DirectAdmin on shared hosting.

Do you want a second Sales Channel (Shop) or to add a second domain? Adding a second domain can be done within the Sales Channel.

The DNS has to point to your shared hosting IP. In you shared hosting admin you have to set the directory to the public folder of your Shopware installation, like it is the case with your first domain.

Will have a go with the domain setting and public\_html

It will be an separate store with an new brand and new domain.
