Cache Warm up

I see there is been a feature missing from since Shopware 5
Is that cache warmup does not warmup the category page until is visited, then next visit to that category section it is already warmed
This is very important on big catalogues (we running 10K categories)

I there any plan for this?

Since there is no HTTP-Cache in shopware 6, a cache warmup won‘t improve the performance. At a later point, when there will be a full page cache, there will be a warmup too.

Hi Moritz

Thanks for your fast reply

This a critical decision making for us to keep on Shopware, since we already have a Shopware 5 version on production
And the whole purpose of the upgrade is this

I know it might be hard to tell, but do you have an time approximation for this?
It will be highly appreciated

Thanks!

Shopware 6 is desined to be used without full page caching. You won‘t need it in production, but it will increase the performance on high performance szenarios.

I think this is something that will be available at the end of the year.

Thanks!

We are in one of those scenarios (8 StoreFronts, +400K products, 300~400 Categories page/sections, 6 languages, long etc…)  Gasp

This a highly demanded environment, we need cache!

But we will wait and explore in the meantime  Thumb-Up
